9th Grade is gearing up towards choosing their own project with their own materials. I wanted to share my Co-op's ideas with what we did in this class. By stabbing the egg with a needle, students blew the egg yolk out and later used the yolk as an ingredient to make tempera paint. Students were to draw different designs with a sharpie, then paint with the home-made tempera paint! They got pretty creative...! I highly suggest this.

9: Topography Collages
9th grade took lots of time on researching different artists for inspiration. They were to choose a theme from a list, then proceed to think about a place that is important to him/her. Using the artist research for inspiration, they were to create a collage combining both their 'place' as a map, and the theme. Their final projects amazed me!
